How Coquina Sands Gets Into The Wager on a Weekend

October 29, 2026

The Wager now has four regulation bowling lanes about half a mile south of Banyan Boulevard. What happens if you pull up on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation and ask for a lane?

Four Seasons opened The Wager, a sports gastropub in Market Square at Naples Beach Club, on October 15, 2026, and its press release says the pub was designed "for guests, residents and the local community." The resort's own pages describe Market Square as a gathering place "where guests and locals come together." The intent is clear. Getting in depends on how you arrive, and for Coquina Sands the arrival is short.

Four days open, and three of them fall under the weekend rule

The Wager keeps a short week. It is open Thursday and Friday from 4 to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with no hours Monday through Wednesday.

Now set that schedule beside the resort's arrival page. Under a weekend parking update, it says that on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, on-site parking is reserved for registered resort guests and guests with confirmed dining reservations. It adds that the resort is "unable to accommodate parking for walk-in visitors during these times" and asks guests without reservations to arrive "by rideshare, bicycle or on foot."

Three of The Wager's four operating days fall under that rule, including the two days it opens at 11 a.m. That leaves Thursday as the only day you can drive in without a reservation.

Driving isn't free on any day. The resort has no public parking lot, so every car goes to the valet. In a December 2025 reader Q&A in Naples Press, the resort's public relations director, Teresa Delaney, said valet was $60, or $15 with validation from any of the resort's dining outlets. Those were the rates in the resort's first weeks, and the current arrival page does not list prices.

Anyone set on driving on a weekend has a simple fix. The Wager takes reservations online through its page on the resort site, and a confirmed dining reservation is one of the two things that open the weekend parking.

Why the walk is the easy route from Coquina Sands

In the same Naples Press Q&A, Delaney explained how to reach the resort while the city's beach construction is underway. Turn west from U.S. 41 onto Banyan Boulevard, go left at the signal onto Gulf Shore Boulevard North, and continue "about a half mile" to the main entrance. That route comes in from the north, which is the Coquina Sands side.

The construction sits on the other side of the resort. The City of Naples' Stormwater Beach Outfall Project has closed several beach accesses south of the resort. The city's beach access status page lists 8th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st avenues north and Central Avenue as closed for the outfall work. Lowdermilk Park and the 1977 Gulf Shore Boulevard North pathway are listed as open. The project's own site says pedestrians and bicyclists may not enter the construction zone. Walking down from the north keeps you out of it.

The work is nearing its end. In August, the Naples Daily News reported that the city called the project ahead of schedule, with all four major construction components more than 60% complete. The city's May 2026 update scheduled the last roadway, drainage and water-main phase, from 1st Avenue North to 2nd Avenue South, for August through the end of the year. It estimated the whole project would wrap up by May 2027.

The sand is a second way in. Delaney told Naples Press that anyone in beachwear can come straight off the beach for food and drinks at HB's or the Sunset Bar. "You can come right off the beach. Even our bartenders are in T-shirts and shorts, so it's pretty casual," she said.

What a Saturday at The Wager actually includes

Once you're through the door, The Wager has more to do than its "sports pub" label suggests. The release lists a central bar with multiple high-definition screens and indoor and outdoor seating. It also lists a four-lane regulation bowling alley, the first at any Four Seasons, and a games area with pool, foosball, ping-pong, pinball and arcade games. A covered terrace overlooks an outdoor putting course, which the resort's page describes as open to all ages and skill levels.

The menu leans British, with a Florida beer list:

  • Pub plates: beer-battered fish and chips with mushy peas and malt vinegar, a house-made country terrine, and a lobster roll with Tabasco aioli and Old Bay chips
  • Weekly specials: pork sausage with mash on Fridays, shepherd's pie on Saturdays, and a Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding and gravy
  • Draft lineup: Florida breweries including 3 Daughters Brewing, Funky Buddha, Green Bench, Motorworks Brewing, Scotty's Bierworks, LaBelle Brewing, Kaleidoscope and Riptide Brewing
  • For younger guests: a children's menu with a mini burger, fish and chips, grilled chicken and mac and cheese bites

The Sunday roast lands on a day the weekend parking rule is in effect, and the kitchen opens at 11 a.m. For a household within walking distance, that combination is simple. For anyone driving in from farther away, it means booking ahead.

The rest of Market Square, sorted by who can use it

The Wager is the newest piece of a campus that is still opening in stages. Each venue has its own access rules, and the resort has published some more clearly than others.

Venue What it is Who it's open to Status
The Wager Sports pub with bowling, games and putting Guests, residents and the local community Open since October 15, 2026
Naples Trading Company Coffee bar, sandwiches, gelato, prepared foods, gourmet groceries, wine Described as a Market Square spot for guests and locals Open in Market Square; Naples Press reported 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. hours at launch
HB's and Sunset Bar Beachfront restaurant and bar on the original footprints Anyone, including people walking up from the beach Open
Resort pools Two pool areas Hotel guests only Open
The Sanctuary spa Spa with daily appointments, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Resort guests and the local community Opened March 2026
The Picture House 22-seat screening room Not yet published Listed for fall 2026
The Gardens Tom Fazio 18-hole course with The Shed range house Not yet published Early 2027

Naples Trading Company opens at 6 a.m. and keeps daytime hours, so it covers mornings, while The Wager doesn't open until afternoon. Both sit in Market Square.

The Sanctuary spa announcement from March 18, 2026, said the spa serves resort guests and the local community, with appointments daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tennis was more limited when the resort opened. Delaney told Naples Press last December that play at the Mary C. Watkins Tennis Center, 825 S. Golf Drive, was available to hotel guests and Naples Beach Club residents at that point. She added that "it may change in the future."

What opens next

Three dates are coming up on the Market Square calendar.

  1. The Picture House, fall 2026. The resort's services page still lists the screening room as opening this fall. The resort fact sheet describes 22 seats, regularly scheduled movie showings and space for private events. The resort hasn't said whether the scheduled showings will be open to people who aren't staying there.
  2. The Wager's private dining room, December 1. This wood-paneled room seats up to 40 and overlooks The Gardens. It offers three family-style menus plus access to the games area and putting course, and bowling can be added. Bookings start December 1, 2026, which puts it within reach of holiday-party planning.
  3. The Gardens, early 2027. The October release gives early 2027 as the opening for Tom Fazio's course. The services page describes precision hitting bays, comfort stations and The Shed, a range house with indoor-outdoor seating and casual dining. On public play, the last word came from Delaney last December. "There will be opportunities, there will be tee times available for the public," she told Naples Press. At the time, the course was targeted for the end of 2026. The opening has since moved to early 2027, and the resort hasn't published tee-time details for non-guests.

The putting course outside The Wager's terrace is open now. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, walk-in visitors without a reservation are asked to arrive on foot, by bike or by rideshare, and the resort's main entrance is about half a mile south of the Banyan Boulevard signal on Gulf Shore Boulevard North.

If the Market Square openings have you thinking about what a short walk to Gulf Shore Boulevard North is worth in your own plans, I would be glad to talk it through. Cheena Chandra keeps track of how openings like these change daily life along the Coquina Sands stretch of the beach. Let's Connect.
